Job summary

Eureka College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Kinesiology/Exercise Science, to begin January or August 2027. The successful candidate will teach 12 credits per semester, advise students, and mentor honors theses as part of the Honors Program.

Responsibilities include participating in interdisciplinary programs, teaching a first year seminar, and potentially a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor track if qualifications are met.

Qualifications

• PhD in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field or ABD with degree by Jan/Aug 2027.
• MS applications will be considered for a Visiting Assistant Professor, 1-year appointment.
• Desirable: Previous teaching in higher education

Responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours each semester (24 credits per academic year).
• Advise students majoring in Kinesiology-Exercise Science and pre-professional tracks; mentor senior theses in Honors Program.
• Participate in interdisciplinary programs; assist in first year seminars or general education courses.
