Job summary

Converse University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Interior Design to begin in Fall 2027–Spring 2028. The candidate will teach Interior Design courses, advise students, and participate in recruitment and assessment activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Interior Design (or related field) with NCIDQ certification, teaching and professional practice experience, and a commitment to a collaborative, socially responsible learning

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Interior Design (or related field) from an accredited institution, with interior design as the major focus.
• NCIDQ certification is required.
• College-level teaching experience is required, with practice experience as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Interior Design and other Departmental courses as needed.
• Advise undergraduate Interior Design students.
• Assist in recruitment and program assessment activities.
• Teach First Year Seminar and Interdisciplinary Courses when requested.
