Job summary

The College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Interior Design. The position will contribute to teaching and scholarship in a nationally recognized CIDA-accredited program.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a teaching portfolio and research agenda, mentor students, and participate in faculty service.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in Interior Design or M.Arch or a terminal degree by appointment.
• Evidence of professional design experience in interior design.
• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate interior design courses.
• Develop teaching portfolio and research agenda in interior design.
• Mentor students and contribute to program, college, and university service.
• Maintain a program of professional practice and scholarship.
