Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent degree required in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, Pomology or a closely related field.
• Evidence of experience or strong interest in teaching excellence as shown by student evaluations.
• Commitment to serving a highly diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Teach in areas such as integrated pest management, weed biology, tree and fruit crop production and management, principles of horticulture and practices, nursery production, crop physiology, plant breeding and agricultural propagation.
• Course development and establishment of an active student-focused experiential learning program.
• Student mentoring and advising a diverse student population; contribute to teaching, scholarly activity, and service for retention and tenure.
