Assistant/Associate Professor, Molecular Horticulture (TenureTrack)
Essential Job Functions
  • Conducts a requisite number of classes; Teaches assignedsubjects.
  • Provides guidance and supervision to students.
  • Creates and maintains an environment conducive to excellence inteaching, learning and research.
  • Preparation and formulation of curricula focused on his/hersubject(s)
  • Participates in departmental meetings and holds scheduledoffice hours.
  • Maintains equipment in the laboratory, plans for laboratorypractical sessions, and provides materials to students.
  • Provides academic support to other faculty members.
  • Serves on departmental and University committees, asassigned.
  • Demonstrates grantsmanship and the ability to publish peerreview journals
  • Other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education

Ph.D. in Horticulture, Plant Breeding, Plant Genetics, MolecularBiology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related plant sciencediscipline by the time of application.

Minimum Experience

One (1) year teaching or postdoctoral research experience isstrongly preferred.
