Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, Pomology or closely related field.
• Evidence of teaching excellence via strong student evaluations.
• Experience serving a diverse student population.
• ABD candidates considered if on track to complete all PhD requirements before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Teach in areas such as Integrated pest management, weed biology, tree and fruit crop production and management, principles of horticulture and practices, nursery production, crop physiology, plant breeding and agricultural propagation.
• Develop courses and establish an active student-focused experiential learning research program.
• Mentor and advise a highly diverse student population; contribute to teaching, scholarly productivity and service.
