Job summary

Alvernia University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance beginning Spring 2027 or Fall 2027. The School of Business offers a Finance major and seeks a scholar-practitioner to contribute to program growth.

The successful candidate will teach across undergraduate and graduate finance courses in multiple formats, advise students, and participate in curriculum development and service activities consistent with the university’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses in traditional day, accelerated adult, online, and hybrid formats.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and departmental initiatives.
• Engage in service to the department, college, and university consistent with Alvernia’s mission.
• Commitment to high-impact teaching practices such as experiential learning, service learning, action research, and innovative pedagogy.
