Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Personal Financial Planning, Finance, or Business with AACSB alignment.
• Commitment to quality teaching.
• Ongoing scholarship in peer‑reviewed journals consistent with experience level.
• CFP certification or ability to sit for CFP Exam by end of second academic year.
• Engagement in institutional, community, and professional endeavors.
• Leadership experience in an academic program, center, or similar setting.
• Experience developing or implementing strategic initiatives.
• Ability to build productive relationships with external partners and advisory groups.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in financial planning and finance.
• Prepare students for the CFP Certification Examination and careers in financial planning and related financial services.
• Develop and support high‑impact experiential learning opportunities connecting students with professionals and firms.
• Mentor students and support their professional development.
• Develop and maintain a program of scholarship aligned with rank and collaboration opportunities.
• Engage with the financial planning profession, regional business community, and professional organizations.
• Contribute to ongoing program development and AACSB accreditation efforts.
