The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Finance (Financial Planning) at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will also serve as Faculty Director of the Charles Schwab Foundation Center for Financial Wellness.
The Cofrin School of Business is building a distinctive financial planning program that integrates outstanding teaching, applied student learning, scholarship, professional engagement, and community impact. The successful candidate will join a growing program supported by the Charles Schwab Foundation Center for Financial Wellness and Willie D. Davis Finance & Investment Laboratory, providing exceptional opportunities to connect financial planning education with experiential learning, industry engagement, and community service.
The Cofrin School of Business prioritizes teaching excellence, learner success, quality scholarship, engagement with the regional business community, and meaningful institutional, community, and professional service. Professional experience in financial planning, wealth management, finance, or related areas is viewed favorably. The successful candidate will also provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the Charles Schwab Foundation Center for Financial Wellness. Working collaboratively with the Center's Program Manager, Advisory Board, school leadership, faculty, students, and industry partners, the Faculty Director will help advance the Center as a distinctive platform for financial wellness education, experiential learning, scholarship, and community engagement. The director will also represent the Center internally and externally as its academic leader.
The Faculty Director will play a key role in integrating the Center with undergraduate and graduate curricula; developing high-impact student experiences; promoting faculty engagement and scholarship; shaping strategic priorities; and expanding relationships with financial planning professionals, firms, alumni, donors, and community partners. The Faculty Director will also support the School in donor cultivation and philanthropic efforts that strengthen the Center's long‑term impact and sustainability.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Conditions of Appointment:
The home campus of this position is Green Bay. Courses will be taught both face-to-face and online (in asynchronous and synchronous formats). The specific courses taught may vary from semester to semester.
Position is an academic year, tenure-track appointment. Applicants must be considered for tenure and promotion in six years, although tenure decisions may be at any time. Promotion from Assistant to Associate Professor is simultaneous with tenure. Excellence in teaching, sustained scholarly activity, and institutional service required for retention and promotion. A pre-employment education check which includes, but is not limited to, the verification of academic credentials will be conducted on the finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).
