The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, is seeking candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions on the tenure track. Candidates must hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and be board certified or eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
Responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, fellows, graduate students, and advanced practice providers; providing clinical care for patients with solid tumors, hematological malignancies, or non-malignant hematology disorders; and engaging in research related to solid tumors, hematological malignancies, immunotherapy, or other relevant scientific areas. Candidates should have a strong record of independent funding, impactful publications, and a national/international reputation. Rank will depend on experience.
Ideal candidates will have a focus on basic research within hematology or medical oncology, demonstrate a productive post-doctoral research track record, and show the ability to develop innovative, independent research programs capable of attracting extramural funding. Additional duties include clinical work, teaching within the Penn network, and participation in graduate programs. Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead institutional initiatives are expected.
