Overview

The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an MD or MD/PhD degree. Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Rheumatology.

Location: Philadelphia, PA. Open Date: May 28, 2024. Deadline: May 28, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. Selected candidates will have opportunities to participate in the Perelman School of Medicine"s outstanding educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level.

Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient care in the ambulatory practice and/or inpatient care at hospitals within Penn Medicine.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical or basic research and is expected and will depend on the specific training and experience of the applicant. Scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.

The successful candidate will have a research focus and clinical interest that leverages and enhances the existing expertise and resources in one of the Division's subspecialty centers of excellence, including in myositis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, Sjögren's disease, spondyloarthropathy, and vasculitis, or will bring new research methods, clinical expertise, or educational initiatives that expands the Division's academic programs.

There will be an expectation of the ability of selected candidates to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
