Qualifications include a Doctorate in Kinesiology or related field (ABD considered); specialization in Sport and Exercise Psychology or Motor Development preferred.

Qualifications

• Teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels; finalists may demo teaching.
• Evidence of scholarship through publications, presentations, abstracts, etc.
• Clear communication with students and staff in writing and speech.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships across disciplines and external organizations.

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credits per academic year, primarily in-person with online options.
• Design curriculum and student experiences reflecting the university's active learning theme.
• Advise on student assessment, participate in department meetings and committees.
• Engage in scholarly activities: presentations, publications, and service to the profession.
• Develop relationships with community, state, national, and international organizations.
• Prepare students for credentialing exams through ACSM, NSCA, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
