Job summary

Lycoming College is inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in the Biology Department to start August 2027. The successful candidate will help shape a new Exercise Science major established in 2026, guide laboratory equipment acquisition, and participate in facility design.

Responsibilities include teaching Introduction to Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology (300-level), and general education offerings, along with mentoring a diverse student body

Qualifications

• Ph.D. must be in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or closely related field by start date.
• Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses including Introduction to Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology (300-level), and general education offerings.
• Mentor a diverse student population through coursework, undergraduate research, and capstone experiences.
• Assist in acquiring laboratory equipment and designing facilities for the new Exercise Science major.
