Job summary

Lycoming College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Biology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, starting August 2027. The successful candidate will help shape a new Exercise Science major and will oversee laboratory equipment acquisition and facilities design.

Teaching includes introductory and 300-level Exercise Physiology, as well as general education offerings, with mentorship of a diverse student body. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• PhD in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or closely related field by start date.
• Undergraduate teaching experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses: Introduction to Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology (300-level), and general education offerings.
• Mentor a diverse student population through coursework, undergraduate research and capstone experiences.
• Assist in acquiring laboratory teaching and research equipment.
• Help design facilities for the new Exercise Science major established in 2026.
