University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a tenure-line Assistant Professor of Elementary Mathematics Education. The department seeks a colleague who can teach undergraduate elementary mathematics methods, graduate courses, and mentor graduate students, while developing a funded research program and collaborating across content areas.

The candidate will engage with partnerships, contribute to the teacher preparation program, and help expand national visibility in mathematics

Qualifications

• Doctorate in mathematics education, curriculum and instruction, teacher education, or a related field.
• ABD candidates will be considered, but a doctoral degree must be completed before the position start date.
• Two years of elementary or secondary teaching experience; ability to teach college-level mathematics education courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach Elementary Mathematics methods coursework as part of the undergraduate program.
• Teach graduate courses in K-12 Mathematics Education and related areas.
• Advise and mentor master’s and doctoral students; conduct a scholarly program of research.
