Job summary

MVSU International invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Education with an endorsement in Special Education. The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours per semester at undergraduate and/or graduate levels and contribute to teaching, research, and service activities.

Areas include Elementary/Secondary Education, inclusive education, and special education best practices.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Education or Special Education by start of appointment.
• At least three years of extensive teaching experience in Education and/or Special Education.
• Demonstrate empathy and commitment for inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with current research for Elementary/Secondary Education and Special Education.
• Teach 12 credit hours per semester at undergrad/grad level.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Conduct and publish research in Elementary/Secondary Education and Special Education.
• Pursue external funding opportunities to support research and program development.
• Participate in departmental and university committees and service activities.
• Stay current with trends and legislation affecting Education.
• Respond to student needs using varied teaching methods including new technologies.
• Attend classes regularly, provide quality instruction, and improve student learning through curriculum development.
