Job summary

Baruch College's Bert W. Wasserman Department of Economics and Finance seeks applicants for a tenure-track Associate/Assistant Professor position in Economics starting Fall 2027.

The successful candidate will conduct high-quality scholarly research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to service. Ability to teach in-person, online, or hybrid modalities and collaborate with Baruch's Zicklin programs and global partners is expected.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high quality scholarly research.
• Ability to teach successfully and cooperate with colleagues.
• Preference for computational methods in macroeconomics and econometrics.

Responsibilities

• Engage in high-quality scholarly research in economics.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics.
• Mentor students (undergraduate, master's, Ph.D.).
• Share responsibility for committee and department assignments.
• Teach in multiple modalities (in-person, online, hybrid) and participate in Zicklin programs.
