Job summary

Loyola University Maryland seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education to begin Fall 2027. The 10-month contract includes teaching three courses per semester, pursuing research, advising students, and contributing to university service and partnerships.

Qualifications include a Ph.D./Ed.D. in ECE or related field, 3+ years PK-3 teaching, and MSDE license eligibility; preference for online teaching and special education experience.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Early Childhood Education or related field from an accredited institution (by start date).
• Minimum of three years full-time early childhood (grades PK-3) teaching experience.
• Eligibility for MSDE professional teaching or administrator license.
• Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Familiarity with Maryland and national standards for teacher preparation.

Responsibilities

• Teach three courses per semester in early childhood and/or teacher education at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Conduct and publish research; advise students.
• Participate in service at department, school and university levels.
• Develop university/community initiatives and partnerships.
