Candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service to the community, with the ability to secure external funding to sustain research programs in their field of expertise.

Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate in Criminal Justice or a closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated evidence of effective academic instruction (excluding graduate assistant experience).
• At least three years of virtual (online) instruction experience.
• Dynamic and innovative teaching/research agenda; evidence of obtaining grants or external funding and published research manuscripts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate level courses
• Engage in, produce, publish and present findings at professional conferences on issues related to criminal justice or related areas
• Serve on departmental, college and university committees
• Serve as academic advisor
• Maintain office hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
