Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. The Department of History, Law, and Society seeks two tenure-track positions. The primary location is the Henderson campus, with potential teaching at the North Las Vegas campus.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Criminal Justice or Criminology. ABD acceptable with degree by 2027.
Evidence of strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and working with undergraduates.
Demonstrated commitment to, or interest in, working with a diverse, non-traditional, first-generation student population.
Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilités

Teach 24 credits per academic year (four courses per semester) and may teach at Henderson or North Las Vegas campuses.
Teach lower- and upper-level Criminal Justice courses in-person, hybrid, or online.
Serve on departmental and university-wide committees.
Engage in scholarly activity within the discipline or the scholarship of teaching and learning.
