Job summary

University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Counselor Education, beginning August 2026. This is an in-person program with potential for hybrid/online teaching where available. The department seeks a dedicated scholar and educator committed to teaching, research, and service.

The successful candidate will teach and advise graduate students, engage in research, and contribute to CACREP-aligned program development and community partnerships.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Counselor Education or related doctorate with CACREP eligibility.
Full-time faculty experience in counselor education preferred per CACREP guidelines.
Licensure or eligibility for professional counseling in Maryland.
Experience teaching at graduate or undergraduate level.

Responsibilities

Teach and advise graduate courses in Counselor Education with innovative methods.
Maintain an active research agenda and engage students in scholarship.
Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation, and program assessment.
