Doctorate. Demonstrated teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level.
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional counselor in the state where the institution is located.

The normal requirement is a Master's degree in the field of instruction or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the field of instruction. Appointments to this rank are typically one to three years and are renewable.
