Job summary

California State University, Northridge (CSUN) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Construction Management within the Civil Engineering & Construction Management Department. The successful candidate will teach CM courses, supervise graduate students, and contribute to curriculum development and accreditation.

Responsibilities include advising undergraduates, participating in faculty governance, and maintaining active research and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. and B.S. in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline; ABD candidates considered but must complete degree before Aug 19, 2026.
• Teaching experience or potential to teach CM or CE courses in-person or online.
• Published at least two papers in peer-reviewed venues within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach Construction Management courses and supervise undergraduate and graduate students.
• Advise students and participate in curriculum development, assessment and accreditation.
• Engage in service to the department, college and university; participate in student organizations if required.
