Montclair State University, Department of Biology, seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Biology starting August 2027. We seek a colleague to teach introductory and advanced Computational Biology, build an extramurally funded research program with graduate and undergraduate students, and contribute to new programs such as an online MS in Computational Biology.

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology or a relevant field is required.
• Proven record of achievement and potential for future success in research, scholarship or creative activity.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching all students.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced Computational Biology courses.
• Establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program involving graduate and undergraduate students.
• Contribute to online MS in Computational Biology and other new programs.
• Engage in service to the department, college, university, and professional communities.
