Qualifications

• Ph.D., Psy.D., or ABD in clinical or counseling psychology. Candidates who are ABD must have their degree completed by the contract start date in August 2027; if not, they will be hired on a one-year contract with the understanding that their degree will be completed before January 2028 in advance of their first scheduled review.
• Evidence of potential for effective teaching.
• Evidence of potential for maintaining a program of research.

Responsibilities

• Full-time teaching responsibilities (24-credit annual teaching load) may include undergraduate courses in psychopathology, interviewing and psychotherapy techniques, and courses in the faculty member’s area of specialization, as well as an introductory course in psychology or general education.
• Research expectations include maintaining an active program of research in an area of clinical or counseling psychology, with a commitment to engaging undergraduate students in research in meaningful ways.
• In addition, faculty members serve as academic advisors/mentors to students. Additional responsibilities include service to the university as well as community and professional organizations relevant to the candidate’s expertise and interest.
