University of Wisconsin System in Kenosha (UW–Parkside) seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of Counseling in the CMHC program within the Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Neuroscience department. The 9-month tenure-track position involves teaching, supervision, research, and service with a start in August 2025.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Counseling or Counselor Education, be licensed as a Professional Counselor or eligible for licensure within 2 years, and demonstrate

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Counseling or Counselor Education (or expected by May 2026).
• Experience teaching graduate CMHC courses, in-person and online.
• Experience supervising CMHC students.
• Willingness to coordinate clinical training programs.
• Active research in clinical mental health counseling.
• Experience with culturally diverse students and staff.
• Licensed Professional Counselor; training license considered with trajectory to independent licensure within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (60%).
• Provide clinical supervision and advisement to CMHC students (20%).
• Engage in scholarly activity: publications, presentations, grants (20%).
• Contribute service to program, department, college, university, and community (20%).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair.
