Job summary

Qualifications

• Teach undergraduate ceramics courses ranging from introductory to advanced
• Explore a broad range of ceramic processes
• Develop and maintain an active program of creative research and professional practice
• Mentor and advise students on artistic practices and portfolios
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment
• Engage in interdisciplinary teaching and collaboration across departments

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate ceramics courses from introductory to advanced levels
• Develop and maintain an active program of creative research through exhibitions, residencies, lectures, grants, or other forms
• Mentor and advise students in artistic practice, portfolios, and exhibition opportunities
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment within the department
• Participate in recruitment and retention activities for art majors
• Promote safe studio practices and responsible use of facilities
