Montclair State University, Department of Biology, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computational Biology starting August 2027. The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced Computational Biology and lead a vigorous, externally funded research program involving both graduate and undergraduate students, supporting new online programs like the online M.S.

in Computational Biology.

Qualifications

• A Ph. D. in Computational Biology or a relevant field is required.
• Record of achievement and potential for future success in research, scholarship or creative activity.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching all students.
• A record that demonstrates interest and commitment to service.
• Significant record of scholarly/creative work.

Responsabilités

• Teach introductory and advanced Computational Biology courses.
• Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program involving graduate and undergraduate students.
• Contribute to the development of new programs such as an online M.S. in Computational Biology.
• Engage in department, college/school, and university service and foster diversity and inclusion.
