Job summary

The City of High Point’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Recreation Attendant for Oak Hollow Tennis Center. You will manage daily operations, assist customers, book courts, register for lessons, and help with maintenance in a busy outdoor tennis complex.

Starting wage is $15.95/hour, with a schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. The role requires a High School diploma, a NC driver’s license, computer skills, and a friendly, service‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
• General knowledge about the game of tennis.
• Customer service experience and ability to work outdoors.
• Experience operating a computer.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service for patrons in person and by phone, assists with court bookings and lesson registrations.
• Performs opening and closing procedures for Oak Hollow Tennis Center.
• Uses recreation software to register users, reserve courts, collect fees, and run end-of-day reports.
• Maintains daily revenue and attendance records and performs safety checks.
• Assists with indoor/outdoor court maintenance and uses tennis-related equipment.
• Keeps facility clean and orderly, including trash removal and restroom upkeep.
• Supports tennis programs, tournaments, and special events in coordination with staff.
