Job summary

Cape Fear Country Club Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Tennis Shop Assistant to help run the shop and assist on the courts, including helping with reservations and scheduling lessons. The role is part-time and requires weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell tennis merchandise in the tennis shop.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of tennis shop.
• Assist members with reserving courts and scheduling lessons.
• Supply towels, cups, and ice to members and guests.
• Record all charge tickets.
• Change displays as instructed.
• Restock merchandise when supply is low.
• Empty trash and clean tennis shop and tennis courts.
• Keep storage area tidy.
• Groom and water courts daily.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Assist with other projects and tasks as directed by the Tennis Shop Manager and Director of Tennis.

Job description

Summary (Essential Functions): The Tennis Shop Assistant will assist in maintaining our Tennis Pro Shop and assist on the tennis courts as needed. Our facility has ten soft tennis courts, one hard tennis court and five Pickle Ball courts.

Required availability: Tuesdays 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursdays 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., OR 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sundays 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., OR 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On-court opportunities may include working with players ages 3 - 18, after school, including evening & weekend shifts.

Sign-on Bonus: After 6 months of service, employees receive sign-on bonuses as follows:

35+ hrs/wk - $1000

21 - 35 hrs/wk - $500

1 - 20 hrs/wk - $250

Salary & Benefits: Competitive benefits for eligible employees include 401(k) retirement plan after term of service requirements have been fulfilled. This is a part-time hourly position.
