Job summary

CareStar, Inc. is seeking a Subject-Matter Lead to serve as the Tennessee authority on DCS policy and Independent Living for young adults aging out of foster care.

You will validate Tennessee-specific procedures, build statewide training, and advise on complex eligibility matters in collaboration with courts and regional staff. In this full-time role, you will lead policy reviews, design Bright Futures curricula, and ensure timely updates to practice standards while supporting a mission-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Five years in Tennessee child welfare with leadership responsibilities.
• Policy fluency with DCS 16.51 and related guides.
• Experience designing and delivering training programs.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve Tennessee-specific policy, procedure, and training modules before implementation.
• Advise on eligibility determinations and court-related matters.
• Design and deliver Bright Futures training curriculum for policy and practice.
