Job summary

BronxWorks is seeking a Tenant Services Coordinator for Cooper Gardens, a multi-building supportive housing program in the Bronx, NY. The role focuses on engaging tenants, coordinating services, and implementing harm-reduction practices within a community-centered team.

The candidate should have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in social services, strong communication skills, and experience in a housing or social-services setting. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in social services with 1 year of experience (or a bachelor’s degree in social services).
• Proficiency in modem business communications including email and basic office equipment.
• Experience in supportive housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead recreation activities and psycho-educational workshops for tenants.
• Conduct on-site outreach and advertise planned events.
• Act as a liaison between tenants and community agencies/referrals.
• Conduct home visits to clients and engage those with low participation.
• Develop and maintain connections with internal and external agencies for services.
• Maintain records of client interactions and prepare monthly reports.
• Collaborate with case management staff on clients’ programming needs.
• Provide crisis interventions and coordinate emergency responses.
