GGP in Chicago seeks a Tenant Coordination Intern to support the design and construction phases of tenant projects within the retail portfolio. You will assist with plan reviews, permitting, construction progress, and store openings, gaining exposure to retail real estate operations and mentorship throughout the program.

The role offers cross-functional collaboration, hands-on project involvement, and an opportunity to present a final internship project to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and current college enrollment with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2028.
• Prefer degree focus in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support Tenant Coordination with daily administrative and project tasks.
• Track design and construction timelines from prospect to store opening.
• Assist with plan submittals, reviews, approvals, permitting, and openings coordination.
• Review signage drawings against design criteria for coordinator approval.
• Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and research to support business needs.
• Organize and manage confidential information and data.
