Job summary

GGP, a leading retail real estate company, seeks a Tenant Coordination Intern to support the team through design and construction phases of tenant projects within our retail portfolio. You will gain exposure to plan reviews, permitting, construction progress, and store openings, with mentorship and a cross-functional internship project presented to executive leadership.

Interns will contribute to real-world projects, develop professional skills, and complete a cross-functional group project.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in college/university with expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Preferred degree focus in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Tenant Coordination with daily administrative tasks.
• Track design and construction timelines from prospect to store opening.
• Assist with plan submittals, reviews, approvals, leasing reviews, permitting, and opening coordination.
• Review tenant signage shop drawings against criteria for coordinator approval.
• Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and research for business needs.
• Organize and manage confidential information and data.
• Contribute to other projects as assigned.
