GGP is seeking an Development Intern in Chicago to support our Development function. You will work with leaders up to the Chief Development Officer on project-based assignments, coordinating financial reporting and assisting with proformas, budgets, and evaluations of leasing economics.

This internship offers exposure to senior leadership, opportunities for professional growth, and a collaborative team environment within a leading retail real estate company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in College or University with graduation date between Dec 2027 & May 2028.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Accurately coordinates and assembles project financial reporting, including proforma updates and partner reporting.
• Assists Developers with proforma preparation and monitors investment decisions throughout the project.
• Assists Development Managers with budgets, including capital planning for development pipeline.
• Supports completion of implementation and enhancement initiatives; identifies future needs.
• Evaluates economics on leasing deals and anchor agreements for project returns.
• Communicates and presents findings to Senior Leadership to support the retail development pipeline.
