General Dynamics IT is seeking a Network Engineer 5G CORE Lead to support the Army TEN-M program. This remote role requires 25%–50% travel and residence within 50 miles of a major airport.

You will lead deployment of 5G core network infrastructure and work with multiple teams on secure integration. You should have 15+ years in network engineering focusing on 5G CORE technologies and 5+ years of technical leadership, with Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsabilidades

• Perform installation and deployment of 5G network equipment including core servers, CU/DU hardware, network switches, routers, firewalls, synchronization equipment, GNSS GPS antennas, structured cabling, and interconnections.
• Capture all required system integration details, network interfaces, and existing architecture with focus on Private 5G core and its integration within the broader environment.
• Ensure all network components spanning wireless, fiber, and supporting technologies are securely and seamlessly integrated into the Army network.
• Collaborate with Design, Implementation, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure smooth, secure integration across all functional areas.
• Support equipment staging, rack and stack, power verification, cable management, hardware replacement, software loading, and field troubleshooting.
• Assist with execution of test procedures and system validation activities under direction of engineering staff.

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Network Engineer 5G CORE Lead to join our team in support of the Army TEN-M program.

This is a remote position and requires 25% to 50% travel; you must reside within a 50-mile radius of a major airport

As the Network Engineer 5G CORE Lead, you:

• Perform installation and deployment of 5G network equipment including core servers, CU/DU hardware, network switches, routers, firewalls, synchronization equipment, GNSS GPS antennas, structured cabling, and associated interconnections.
• Capture all required system integration details, network interfaces, and existing architecture with a strong focus on the Private 5G core, its capabilities, and its integration within the broader environment.
• Ensure all network components- spanning wireless, fiber, and supporting technologies-are securely and seamlessly integrated into the existing Army network. Supports planning, architecture development, installation, configuration, operations and maintenance, documentation, and engineering activities related to network services.
• Collaborate closely with the Design, Implementation, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure smooth, secure, and fully aligned integration across all functional areas.
• Support equipment staging, rack and stack, power verification, cable management, hardware replacement, software loading, and field troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with execution of test procedures and system validation activities under direction of engineering staff.

Basic Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 15+ years of network engineering experience with emphasis on 5G CORE technologies and understanding of the duties as described above
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience
• Secret Clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $169,604 - $229,464. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
