Job summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking a temporary WIC Workforce Curriculum Developer to design and build the POPS training program. You will collaborate with researchers, staff, student trainees, and an advisory board to craft curricula and training materials for paraprofessional nutrition services.

This 5–7 month position offers flexible scheduling and a chance to contribute to a national, federally funded project aimed at improving WIC workforce training across Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant work experience totaling at least 6 years.
  • Nutrition expertise evidenced by degree in nutrition/public health nutrition; NDTR/RDN credential acceptable.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with Zoom and virtual meetings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the training curriculum for the WIC workforce.
  • Create engaging training materials using PowerPoint and authoring tools.
  • Collaborate with the research team and advisory board to develop materials.
  • Participate in regular meetings to coordinate tasks.
  • Review and apply revisions to curriculum and materials.
  • Proofread and finalize training materials and resources.
