A Temporary Technical Paraprofessional will assist with projects and tasks in laboratory, greenhouse, field, and office settings. The employee will be assigned various tasks throughout the year depending on availability, skill set, and program needs. Travel to farms and facilities will be required to perform some duties. The individual must be detail oriented, accept instruction, and be willing to work in various environments. Work well with others.
High school diploma required with some college education preferred. Experience in laboratory, greenhouse, or field work is preferred. Training will be available for laboratory use and pesticide use.
Strong organizational skills, basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.), and the ability to effectively communicate and multitask. Should be meticulous, punctual, and reliable.
Work inside and outside in various conditions including hot and cold temperatures. Coexist with insects, pollen, and temperature stress. Perform various manual duties including transplanting and weeding.
