The University of Georgia in Griffin Area seeks a Temporary Field/Lab Assistant to support greenhouse, field plots, extension and teaching activities. This role involves indoor and outdoor work with minimal supervision, occasional travel to research plots, and data entry using basic software.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and strong communication, interpersonal skills, and mechanical aptitude. Training will be provided on all processes and equipment as needed.
This position will assist faculty and staff with greenhouse, research and field plots as well as help with extension and teaching activities. The role involves indoor and outdoor work with minimum supervision, occasional greenhouse work, and intermittent out‑of‑town travel to research plots. Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software is a plus.
High School diploma/GED; training will be provided on all processes and equipment when necessary.
Ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and general mechanical aptitude.
Lift 50 pounds and work in inclement weather, as needed (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.).
