Job summary

Zekelman Industries is hiring a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support onboarding and recruiting processes. The role emphasizes collaboration with multiple departments, managing candidate engagement, and maintaining timely hiring metrics.

Hybrid work model with two onsite days is offered. A Bachelor’s degree in Business/HR and 2–5 years in recruiting coordination are preferred, along with proficiency in Workday.

Supports the recruiting strategies for industry-related positions.Shift: Hybrid. Two days required onsite.Pay: Up to $35/hrDuration: 4 - 6 month assignment with possibility of extension.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinates requisition process from approved requisition status.Initiates background check, onboarding, and candidate engagement process.Partners with other departments to support recruiting efforts. Participates in community outreach events, job fairs and networking activities to enhance candidates’ diversity and military recruiting.Evaluates resumes, cover letters, and job applications.Conducts phone interviews, coordinates interviews for hiring managers, and negotiates offers.Updates weekly staffing reports/metrics: tracks and analyzes reporting data to make recommendations on best practices and processes.Works with local HR team to coordinate new hire start dates.Provides miscellaneous support for Workday and other platforms utilized by the team.Develops ideas and strategies to build qualified talent pipelines.Performs other duties as assigned.Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree, Business Management, Human Resources, or other related area2-5 years of experience coordinating and supporting recruiting activities - preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.Ability to handle high-volume requisitionsKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIESBasic knowledge of Applicant Tracking System, WorkdayStrong communication skills to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organizationAbility to take and follow through directions given, yet to be a strategic thinkerAbility to build relationships and make decisionsMust be a team playerCompensation for this role is targeted for $75k.Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
