Job summary

Zekelman Industries in Blytheville, AR, seeks a skilled supervisor to coordinate labor assignments and develop staff within our manufacturing/ warehouse environment. You will enforce safety procedures and drive production goals while collaborating with Quality, Maintenance, and other departments.

Ideal candidates bring an Associate degree in management, 3+ years supervising in manufacturing, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with emphasis on management/supervision.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of MES and SAP; proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Enforces appropriate safety procedures. Collaborates with Quality, Maintenance and other Departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive work environment and meet production goals.What You'll Do:Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.Performs quality checks on sites and equipment to ensure customer and quality standards are met.Develops work schedules for workers to achieve production goals.Delegates responsibilities to team members.Provides training, cross-training, performs evaluations, reviews, and initiates disciplinary actions.Monitors and supervises cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory (Warehouse or Inventory).Generates and reviews daily operation reports to ensure shift continuity and determine appropriate course of actions for any issues.Identifies, communicates, and escalates maintenance items.Collaborates with the Quality Department to develop and oversee quality standards on site.Develops and implements action plans to improve and attain plant objectives to enhance efficiencies.Documents injuries, makes recommendations and follows up with corrective actions to prioritize safety.Hires, coaches, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff.
