Zekelman Industries is seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR functions across the organization. This role partners with employees and leadership to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring employment law compliance and adherence to HR policies.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who builds strong relationships and thrives in a fast-paced setting, supporting employees throughout their career journey.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of Human Resources experience.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including recruitment and selection practices, EEOC requirements, and Department of Labor regulations.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

• Support labor relations activities and assist with contract administration with union representatives.
• Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Administer and monitor leave of absence and accommodation programs (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, etc.).
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, policy administration, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

About The Role

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

• Promote a strong culture of safety and support compliance with company and regulatory safety requirements.
• Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to identify staffing needs and support recruitment and selection activities.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, attendance issues, corrective action, and performance concerns.
• Coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and culture-building events that strengthen teamwork and organizational values.
• Support labor relations activities and assist with contract administration, including collaboration with union representatives and bargaining committees.
• Conduct new hire orientation and facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes to create a positive employee experience.
• Administer and monitor leave of absence and accommodation programs, including FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and other applicable federal and state regulations.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, policy administration, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information and documentation.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain regular, full-time, onsite attendance.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of Human Resources experience.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including recruitment and selection practices, EEOC requirements, and Department of Labor regulations.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing HRIS and workforce management systems.
• Experience with Workday and UKG.
• Exposure to labor relations and unionized work environments.
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) is a plus.
