Job summary

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi seeks a Temporary Support Pool staff member to assist with clerical, administrative, and project-based tasks. Responsibilities include data entry, record keeping, document preparation, and coordinating events as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior MS Office experience is preferred.

Job Description
  • Provide support for departmental, administrative, project-based, or research-related activities as assigned which could include but are not limited to:
  • Perform a variety of clerical, administrative, operational, and customer service functions.
  • Assist with data entry, record keeping, document preparation, and information management.
  • Support special projects, research initiatives, event coordination, or other assigned tasks.
  • Communicate professionally with students, employees, vendors, and the public in person, by phone, or electronically as needed.
  • Maintain files, reports, databases, and other records as needed.
  • Utilize office technology and software applications to complete assigned work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on departmental needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience using computers and standard office equipment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • College coursework or specialized training in Business, Communications, Information Technology, Research, or a related field.
  • Previous experience providing administrative, project, research, clerical, or customer service support.
  • Experience working with databases, records management systems, or enterprise software applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software systems, processes, and procedures.
