Job Summary

Operates a motor vehicle for the purpose of switching empty and full trailers to and from shipping dock and yard trailer parking area

Description of Job Duty

Drives Shag truck based on a daily need as determined by shipping requirements. Operates yard truck in a safe and timely manner at all times. Shags trailers on and off docks as required.

Verifies the completion of outbound driver bill of lading documentation, noting any discrepancies to OSI Logistics personnel. Places seals on trailers upon completion. Completes all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent

Required Skills

Ability to operate a Shag Truck

Ability to operate power jack equipment.

Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations

Good driving record for 3 years

Good communications skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to work as a member of a team

Working knowledge of refrigerated trailers preferred

Schedule Requirements

This is a temporary position for the holiday season on night shift or day shift. Please plan to work 12-hour shifts, up to 7 days per week, 5pm – 5am or 5am - to 5pm.
