Job summary

JX Enterprises is seeking a Service Advisor in Elmhurst, IL for a temporary role with potential to transfer to the Bolingbrook branch. Shift: Tue–Fri 7:00am–5:00pm and Sat 8:00am–noon.

You will coordinate repairs, interact with customers, and ensure quality service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 3 years in automotive repair or heavy-duty trucks, solid computer skills, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or obtainable).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of related automotive repair facility or heavy-duty truck experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills; familiarity with Windows-based business systems.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds; safety-conscious and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Process shop repair orders by scheduling and assigning work to shop staff.
• Document and diagnose repairs; take photographs as needed.
• Communicate with customers and insurance companies for authorization and documentation.
• Monitor job schedules to ensure timely repairs and accurate pricing.
• Complete invoicing and collections procedures in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team and leadership to foster positive customer experiences.

Shift: Tuesday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday 8:00am - Noon

What You'll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

• Process all shop repair orders by scheduling & assigning work to shop Associates.
• Document and diagnose necessary repairs by taking photographs.
• Work closely with communication with customers and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorization and documentation relating to repair work.
• Monitor job schedules to ensure timeliness of repairs and job pricing.
• Complete invoicing and collecting procedures in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of related automotive repair facility or heavy-duty truck experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Windows. Must possess demonstrated skills in computer-generated business systems.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL required, or ability to obtain.
