Job summary

JX Enterprises, Inc. in Effingham, IL is seeking a Service Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced shop environment. You will schedule repairs, communicate with customers and insurers, and ensure timely completion of work.

This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years automotive repair facility experience, solid computer skills, and a valid driver's license (CDL preferred). Shift Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience required or preferred.
• Proficient in Windows-based computer systems and business software.
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL is preferred; valid driver's license required.
• Strong priority setting and customer service skills.
• Technical knowledge with repair shop processes and documentation.
• Reliable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign work to shop technicians for repair orders.
• Document and diagnose repairs with photos.
• Communicate with customers and insurers to obtain authorization and paperwork.
• Monitor repair schedules and maintain accurate job pricing.
• Complete invoicing and collection procedures promptly.
• Collaborate with team to provide positive customer experiences.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support business.

The Opportunity (Job Purpose):

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

• Process all shop repair orders by scheduling & assigning work to shop Associates.
• Document and diagnose necessary repairs by taking photographs.
• Work closely with communication with customers and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorization and documentation relating to repair work.
• Monitor job schedules to ensure timeliness of repairs and job pricing.
• Complete invoicing and collecting procedures in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of related automotive repair facility or heavy-duty truck experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Windows. Must possess demonstrated skills in computer-generated business systems.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL required, or ability to obtain.
