Job summary

Securitas, Inc. seeks a Temporary Security Officer for a 9-week contract in Santa Fe, NM. The role covers access control, patrolling, and maintaining a safe environment for client sites.

The position is full-time with four 12-hour shifts. Wage is $20.00 per hour, with overtime. Per diem includes $110 for room and $68 for food; benefits and training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and ability to lead a team.
• Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
• Must pass pre-employment screening and obtain level 1 guard card.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce regulations with diligence.
• Control access and patrol client sites as required.
• Identify safety issues and report suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide information to employees and guests as needed.
• Utilize technology devices during shifts.
• Conduct property tours and monitor equipment when crews are away.

Wage:$20.00/HR (with 8 hours of overtime)

4 12 Hour Shifts: 9 Week Contract

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Monitor equipment, tools, and materials while crews are away from the job site.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.

• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain a level 1 guard card.
