Job summary

IKEA USA in Madison, WI is seeking a motivated retail associate for a temporary, full-time position. Work is 34-40 hours per week with open availability Monday through Sunday.

The role includes helping customers, maintaining product displays, and supporting IKEA Food service while following safety and quality standards. Anticipated start date is early October with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within the store.

Qualifications

• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
• Flow products to final selling location and process sales transactions accurately.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keeps area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience.
• Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.
• Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
• Flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
