Job summary

Peace Coffee in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Production Support role in the Roasting Department to help maintain throughput and quality by handling routine tasks. You’ll join a team focused on safe, efficient production and consistent product quality.

The position loads green coffee, supports destoning, performs color analysis, and stages green for roasting. It also involves startup support, inventory movement, and regular cleaning.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or food production experience.
• Powered industrial equipment experience (walkie stacker certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to safely lift and move coffee materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load green coffee into roasters.
• Support destoning operations.
• Perform coffee color analysis.
• Stage green for roasting.
• Move Jackys, barrels, supersacks, and other materials.
• Assist with startup and changeovers.
• Support inventory movement.
• Clean roasting equipment and work areas.
• Participate in scheduled roaster cleaning activities (approximately every 6-8 weeks).
• Perform routine housekeeping and organization.
• Assist with labeling and other production support tasks as needed.

Description

Purpose

Provide production support to the Roasting Department, allowing the roasting team to maintain production throughput and quality by assisting with routine support tasks.

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday
• Approximately 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (flexible based on production needs)
• Approximately 32-36 hours per week
• Temporary role anticipated through approximately September 18, 2026, or until operational needs change

Primary Responsibilities

• Load green coffee into roasters
• Support destoning operations
• Perform coffee color analysis
• Stage green for roasting
• Move Jackys, barrels, supersacks, and other materials
• Assist with startup and changeovers
• Support inventory movement
• Clean roasting equipment and work areas
• Participate in scheduled roaster cleaning activities (approximately every 6-8 weeks)
• Perform routine housekeeping and organization
• Assist with labeling and other production support tasks as needed

The Roast Supervisor and Production Roaster Level 2 remain responsible for machine operation, roast profiles, quality decisions, and final product approval.
