Job summary

Squishable.com, Inc. is seeking a Temporary Retail Operations Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to the retail team, ensuring stores have the information, resources, and assistance needed to operate efficiently.

This role reports to the Director of Retail and collaborates with Regional Managers, Store Managers, and internal teams to coordinate day-to-day activities, maintain records, and support retail projects.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail operations or related administrative support.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication abilities with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day admin and operational support to the Director of Retail and store teams.
• Coordinate store requests, track issues, and liaise with internal departments and vendors for timely resolution.
• Assist with new store openings, relocations, remodels, and closures via remote coordination of supplies and timelines.
• Maintain and update retail operation documents, communications, calendars, and manuals.
• Support facilities requests by coordinating with vendors and tracking service completion.
• Prepare operational reports, spreadsheets, trackers, and records.
• Assist with purchase orders, invoices, expense tracking, and vendor documentation.
• Collaborate with Inventory Planning, Warehousing, Finance, IT, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Communicate updates and procedural changes to retail teams.
• Provide admin support for special projects and initiatives.

Job Summary:

The Temporary Retail Operations Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to Squishable's retail team, helping ensure stores have the information, resources, and assistance needed to operate efficiently. This role reports to the Director of Retail and works closely with Regional Managers, Store Managers, and internal departments to coordinate day-to-day operational activities, maintain accurate records, and support retail projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Director of Retail, Regional Managers, and retail store teams
• Coordinating store requests, tracking outstanding issues, and following up with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely resolution
• Assisting with new store openings, relocations, remodels, and closures through remote coordination of supplies, fixtures, equipment, and project timelines
• Maintaining and updating retail operational documents, procedures, store communications, calendars, and the Store Operations Manual
• Supporting facilities and maintenance requests by communicating with vendors, scheduling services, and tracking completion
• Preparing and maintaining operational reports, spreadsheets, trackers, and other administrative records
• Assisting with purchase orders, invoices, expense tracking, and vendor documentation
• Coordinating with Inventory Planning, Warehousing, Finance, IT, and other departments to support store operations and resolve routine issues
• Communicating operational updates, reminders, and procedural changes to retail store teams
• Providing administrative support for special projects and other retail initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, administrative support, office coordination, or a related field required
• Previous experience working in a retail environment or supporting multiple retail locations is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and general office software
• Ability to maintain accurate records, organize information, and follow established processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with multiple departments
• Experience with NetSuite or other retail management systems is a plus
• Pay Rate: $27-$30 per hour, depending on experience
• Employment Type: Temporary, hourly, non-exempt
• Work Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based)
